Working conditions factor into pay equity, and labor equity is a necessary component to any pay equity policy. Labor equity addresses the work an employee is doing, and the support they are given to do that work.

Transparency.

Pay equity dies in the darkness, and transparency is key to shining a light on working conditions within an organization. It allows workers to see the pay, terms, and working conditions others in the company work within, and in turn allows workers to judge the fairness of those conditions and pay.
